In 1981 after performances in Quebec and Ontario, Daniel Lavoie released two albums: «Aigre-doux, How Are You?» in French and «Cravings» in English. Then he toured a lot around Quebec and Ontario as well as in France, where he gave a series of concerts in the «Théâtre de la Ville» in 1981. Just at that time the 4th fourth album «Aigre doux, How Are You?» came out. This year ended with the presentation of Felix in the category «the best singer of the year.» This Quebec award became the first in a long line of it, which untill this day regularly celebrates his career.
